Working with PublishingGurus.com on my book has been wonderful. Because I was in Mississippi and they were not, the problems we could have had are endless. Their expertise and flexibility made the process seamless.
My wonderful Editor Betsy was tremendously helpful to me since I would not have been able to even start the process without her. Betsy’s editing of my story was professional. Her suggestions were thoughtful and correct. We had a great conversation over the use of the word salamander in the fishing chapter. Betsy researched it and let me know that we should select an appropriate fish for Mississippi. We did, and it was perfect; Betsy was right on. It was great to be able to discuss this and even laugh over it. Betsy’s words and thoughts made “Percy” fly before he was even published.
Wicked Sunny’s idea to change from a cartoon-based illustration to a more realistic depiction of the pelicans was wise. Because of the public’s familiarity with pelicans in the news recently, the illustrations are easily recognizable to the readers and make the book’s impact that much stronger.
Wicked Sunny’s illustrations are beautiful! From the maternal pride on Flora’s face as she gazes at her speckled eggs to the highlighted “tooth” that appears on every picture of Percy, his drawings are flawlessly detailed and thoughtfully represented. He understood what the book was saying and transferred that into the pictures. Any reader will appreciate his work as much as the message of the book.
PublishingGurus has been actively marketing the book. Their expertise has been tremendously helpful to me. I would not have been able to even start that process without them. The book is available on Amazon.com; it’s positioned at Yellow Book Road in Southern California; it’s been placed in Bay Book Store in Pass Christian, Mississippi, and in The Reader’s Loft in DePere and Butterfly Books in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We are constantly brainstorming for more publicity on television outlets and in the local newspapers. When Percy’s Special Gift really takes off, it will be to the credit of PublishingGurus.com!

“In a world that’s in a rush, and “gimme your money” is the prevailing business attitude, Betsy Gordon’s philosophy comes as a breath of fresh air. Just as friendly, courteous and helpful as she is prompt, precise and practical, Betsy made the boring, monotonous task of editing and revising a manuscript almost FUN!
And at the end of a process which turned a draft into a finished book, I am not just happy with a professional looking document – but also feel like I have a new friend.
If business is all about relationships (and it is), then Betsy Gordon has the key ingredients in place – professionalism with a smile!
I would happily recommend her services for anyone looking to have book editing work done.”

“Did an unbelievably excellent job. My grammar is not perfect, and my book is being read by thousands of people. I needed every comma perfect… (Betsy) did a perfect job. Initially I did not give the right page numbers, and even though I made mistakes myself, the work was redone quickly and with no complaints.
I can not recommend (Betsy’s) work more highly for editing and English skills.”

“Wicked Sunny has done 7 of my book covers and all the interior formatting for each. He is extremely talented, quick and very professional. Communication via email is terrific, and I’m in Los Angeles and he’s in India! I can not do a book cover or interior formatting myself (too complicated) so without him I would never be a published author and have my books available for sale on Amazon.com. He’s the best!”
— Andrew Lawrence, USA
“Wicked Sunny once again did a masterful job on the covers and interior of my latest Amazon.com book, Glimmers Of Hope. Thanks to Wicked, the book looks very professional, is very attractive, and really pops! It’s the 5th book he has done for me – and he does them fast. Without him, I couldn’t have done any of my books!”
– Andrew Lawrence, USA
“I am very impressed with the work that Sunny did for me. The cover came out beautiful. Sunny also did alot of little things on the inner pages that made my project more complete. It was above and beyond what I expected. He was very gracious to answer all my questions and the work was done in a very timely fashion. Sunny is also doing my second project and when I am done with the third I will have him do that one as well. Thank you for a great job”.
–Cheryl A. Martin, USA
“I had a stubborn problem with some graphics that just wouldn’t sit on the pages where I wanted them to. The worst aspect is, I’m working with Word 97 through circumstances beyond my control. Sunny took the trouble to describe how to fix things, even sending screenshots of how the settings should be. Unfortunately, the dialog boxes and tabs and so forth in this old ancient antique software didn’t provide the places for me to make settings matching what I was shown.
Along the way, I also got help and advice on several other aspects of the formatting process that had been mysterious. When I got it down to where there was only 1 problem left, one graphic that stubbornly refused to act right, I sent the whole file to Sunny and he fixed it, so now the book block is perfect.”
– Pat Hartman, USA
“Great Work!!! I cant say enough about how great Sunny is! Wonderful communication, stayed up ALL NIGHT to complete my project. I can’t wait to work with him again. Thank you so much!”
– Courtney Walsh, USA
Sunny has been amazing. He’s an extremely talented designer who goes out of his way to ensure a very happy customer. He produces very quickly, and gets you iterations FAST. Thank you so much for your hard work, Sunny!
– Andrew Halt, USA
The ins and outs of file preparation were the most frustrating part of my self-publishing experience. I was already fatigued from doing the writing and editing work. Having to wrestle with Microsoft Word and PDF settings was like a cruel uncreative joke at the end of a long and arduous process.
I was having mysterious things happening in my proofs, and had reached my wits end when Sunny came to the rescue. He calmed me down, inspected my files, gave me some valuable direction and suddenly everything worked. Sunny gave me just the help I needed to finish my project and I highly recommended his services.

Without the help of Sunny my novel’s book cover would not have made it to print, and without a book cover, especially a professionally designed one, Nandi and The Renewal of Serenity would still be on the table. Would definitely consider using Sunny again…after all I hav two more in this trilogy to pen!

Wicked Sunny saved me hours of work of trying to figure out what went wrong with my Word to pdf conversion. He quickly fixed the conversion, at a very reasonable cost, and even fixed a format problem I noticed. He was professional and helpful – a lifesaver for an aspiring author!

Sunny designed the cover for my second book, ESL Internet Resources Made Simple: 101 Sites for Teachers and Students, and it looks fabulous! He was more affordable than the designer of my first book, and I like this cover more. He was quick to respond and willing to communicate by e-mail about any questions or changes to the design. I got better service from him than my former designer in the United States. Sunny exceeded my expectations for cover design and service! I will do all of my future graphic design work with him.
– Michelle Schulze, ESL Made Simple, Owner
Not only did Wicked produce PDF’s of my book interior and cover art, but he caught many errors and helped me correct them before being converted. All in all, a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this source for your PDF conversions.

I would like to take a moment to recommend the services of Wicked Sunny for the tremendous job he did formatting my book. I know how to write in Word, but when it comes to transforming it from a Word document to a Adobe pdf I was clueless. I thought I may be able to do it on my own. I went to Adobe’s website at first, and found that you could set up an account for free and have up to five files converted from Word to Adobe pdf for free. I tried this, and I ended up realizing that I was still in WAY over my head. I do not know the first thing about Adobe. Well I was at a loss. I contacted the book printer in hopes of some guidance as to what to do next when I got an email from them telling me that although my book was in PDF format the page size was still 8.5 *11″ when I had ordered a more standard trim size for my book, and that the file that I had submitted was NOT in the trim size I needed to publish my book. Jeez! That is when I found Sunny. I contacted him through his easy to use contact form on his website. He got back to me very quickly as he is in India and I am on the East coast of the USA. His fee is very reasonable, and he explained the difference in what you get for what fee. He was quick to format my book for me. He had it done in one day (my book was 40 pages). He helped me through the resubmission process. He also was able to help me when I needed to take out a few lines and resubmit it to printer for no extra charge. He was thoughtful and considerate of my work. I recommend Sunny without hesitation or reservation. He is a God send!

Wicked, Can’t thank you enough for the help with my book. I was able to order the proof today. I know without your help it would have taken me a long time.
I was beyond even the basics. It was a frustrating process for me, and although I am thankful for the help given here, I am even more thankful for Wicked’s talents and patience.
The fee was absolutely more than fair and Wicked, you did a fantastic job for me. I even screwed up the word files and yet you had nothing but patience and kind encouragement. Being my first book, I did everything wrong, the files were a mess. The more I tried to fix them, the worse they looked. You honestly spent the better part of the day helping me and I am forever grateful to you for the awesome job you did on my book. You even emailed me today to make sure everything went well. If I write another, I won’t hesitate to ask for your help again. Thanks for a job well done, my friend.

Sunny has created two book covers for me. I get a lot of compliments on how they look. In addition, he has great customer service! He is always willing to answer a question, and I can count on him to get the projects done quickly at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Sunny!

I found Wicked Sunny by searching in the community boards for someone to help me with my cover design. There were many praises about Wicked Sunny in the posts that I read, so I emailed him. Even though I am proficient in PowerPoint, I knew that it was important to hire a professional graphic artist to create my cover, and not try to simply save money by making my own custom cover with the wrong program. I contacted Wicked Sunny and he replied quickly with an estimate for the job. His rates are very fair, his work is professional and he was eager to help me create the perfect cover for my new book, The Chamberlain Negotiation Principles. I would highly recommend that everyone who needs a book cover designed for their new project should reach out to Wicked Sunny right away.
– Jared Kelner, Author of “Chamberlain Negotiation Principles”
Sunny got the job done; fast, efficient, professional with an excellent eye for design inside and out. I can’t imagine ever doing another novel without him. I could not be more satisfied or recommend Sunny more highly. And best of all, he’s affordable; a true artist. In the end I found more than a guru, I found a partner and a friend.

I recently contacted Wicked Sunny. His company Publishing Gurus agreed to take on the formatting of my new novel SANCTIFY.
SANCTIFY is a full length novel, which examines the extent to which Western intelligence agency policy had impacted both the Sixties and our own volatile times. Set against the most impactful murder mystery of the Twentieth century, SANCTIFY depicts its characters and their fates through fresh historical eyes.
From a formatting standpoint, the file I sent Sunny was daunting, to say the least. For a more than reasonable fee, Sunny attacked the file and worked with me closely on the editorial corrections, finally producing a fully formatted novel of 496 pages. Moreover, Sunny is excellent with cover design.
I recommend Wicked Sunny without reservation. He is a professional, who did the job even faster than I had dared to hope, and he accomplished the task before him with professional aplomb.
Finally, I must say it is nice also to work with someone, who takes on a project, leaving his client not only with a polished product, but with the personal touch and care that one would exhibit over their own “baby”—their own work of art.
There is no better “bang-for-your-buck” service than Wicked Sunny’s PublishingGurus.com. Observe Sunny’s handiwork when SANCTIFY comes out in the Spring.
