PublishingGurus is currently seeking Independent Contractors. We require a Book Formatter, a Junior Designer, and an Illustrator.

All work will be done offsite, through the Internet. Payment will be made on a per-project basis. To apply, please contact us through our Contact Form, and submit a brief resume/ CV.

Eligibility Criteria:

Book Formatter:

Must be familiar with Adobe Indesign CS 3 or above, with at least 2 years' work experience. Will be working mainly on book projects.

Junior Designer:

Must be familiar with software such as Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, Corel Draw, as well as 3-D software such as Max, Maya, and/or Zbrush. A minimum of 3 years' work experience is required. Will be working on designing various Tutorials, as well as on basic designing projects.

Illustrator:

Must be familiar with software such as Adobe Flash, Illustrator, and Corel Paint. Should be good at pencil sketching and line drawing. Degree in Fine Arts is a plus. A minimum of 3 years' work experience is required. Will be working on cover illustrations and other art.

Applicants are required to complete a sample project (to be assigned) during a designated timeframe. This will allow us to evaluate the quality of the applicant's work, creativity, knowledge of software, ability to work to deadlines, etc (Payment is not made for the test project).
